Darren Turner is an airbrush artist, operating out of the Island Markets complex at Moonah.

Darren will paint almost anything on almost anything.

Come to Island Markets on full-market days – Friday to Sunday – and watch Darren at work. He does photo-realistic portraits, and you can also book him up to do custom work on your car or motor bike. Crash helmets are another favourite for a personalised look.

Customers even bring letterboxes, golf clubs and toilet seats for that special airbrush treatment. T-shirts and mobile phones are popular surfaces too, and they can be painted while you wait.

Darren teaches airbrush art to people of all ages and artistic abilities. Students who claim to have “no ability at all” have been brought to a level of competence in as little as 10 weeks, part time, under Darren’s expert care.
